Hi I’m Tickles and let’s start by saying “I’d be tickled to meet you, I really would!”
These past six months have been rough, to say the least. You see, I am a Paradise Camp Fire survivor. I was found about three months after the fire started. I had some burns on my face which is why my ears are curled at the tips. I lived at the Alley Cat Allies/FieldHaven Recovery Center in Marysville while volunteers from all over the country searched for my family. Unfortunately I was not reunited with anyone. I did not do so well while I was waiting and my body reacted to that stress and I got sick. In February I went to the shelter in Lincoln where Dr. Kennedy had an ultrasound done. It turns out I had acute - although it wasn’t cute for me – pancreatitis. They gave me lots of medicine, great care and a special tummy diet. Now I am feeling so much better and I am eating regular food!
I am happy now and I love it when the volunteers spend time with me, especially when they scratch me under my chin. I am a really great cat that has not only survived a horrific fire, living on my own for months in the burn zone and a pretty nasty bout with sickness. So, I think there must be a family or person who would love to make my dreams of a home of my own come true. Maybe it’s you? Like I said, I’d be tickled to meet you.
